We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and focussed individual to take responsibility for the operation of the 180,000tpa processing plant based at the A303 site near Andover. The site imports incinerated bottom ash from various ERF in the south of the UK to produce recycled metal and a secondary aggregate for construction projects.

The successful applicant will be required to:

– Operate the processing plant

– Meet production KPI’s

– Carry out health and safety inspections

– Report defects and manage small maintenance duties

– Follow defined procedures and safe systems of work

– Support all operational activities on site as instructed by management

Plant Operator (Loading Shovel)

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and focussed individual to take responsibility for the operation of the Loading Shovel based at our incinerator bottom ash processing facility in Ardley, Oxfordshire. The facility is co-located with Viridor’s Energy from Waste facility and processes the incinerated bottom ash to produce recycled metals and a secondary aggregate for construction projects.

The successful applicant will be required to:

– Operate the Loading Shovel

– Meet production KPI’s

– Carry out health and safety inspections

– Report defects and manage small maintenance duties

– Follow defined procedures and safe systems of work

– Support all operational activities on site as instructed by management

Candidate requirements:

– Over 2 years’ experience in operating a Loading Shovel

– Ability to use high tip loading function with the assistance of weighloader

– NPORS, CPCS or equivalent qualification in Loading Shovel operation

– Efficiently prioritises the demands of processing

– Ability to work as part of a team

– Attention to detail

– Punctual

– Reliable

– Own transport

Multi Role Plant Operator – IBA Processing (Ridham, Kent)

Fortis IBA (South East) are looking to appoint a Multi Role Plant Operator to assist and support in the safe, efficient and effective operations at our new state of the art Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) Processing Facility based at Ridham (Kent).

This role will be flexible, it will involve covering a range of different machinery and duties to ensure the smooth and effective running of the site. Duties may change on a day by day basis to ensure business requirements are met.

Site working hours will be:

  • 07:00-17.00 – Monday to Friday (to include 1 hour unpaid lunch break)
  • 07:00-13.00 – Saturdays

You may also have to work Bank Holidays if required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that machines are in good, safe working order via visual and operational checks.
  • Safe and efficient stockpiling of materials on-site.
  • Have an ability to plan workload to minimise disruption to operations and help to achieve targets.
  • Maintaining standard operating procedures as required.
  • Use of two-way radios to ensure high levels of communication.
  • Comply with all HSQE policies and procedures.
  • Weighbridge operation cover.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 360 Excavator ticket.
  • Loading Shovel ticket.

  • Process Plant Operation experience.
  • Weighbridge – experience would be an advantage but training could be given if required.
  • Laboratory testing work and sampling from process plant and stockpiles – training can be given if required.
  • Own transport.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Preferred experience – quarries, construction or waste recycling background would be advantageous.

 

Plant Operator Vacancies – Brickworth Quarry

Raymond Brown Quarry Products Limited are currently seeking to appoint two Plant Operators at their Brickworth Quarry in Wiltshire. The roles will operate the following plant:

  • Role 1 – Dumper
  • Role 2 – Shovel & Screener

 

The successful applicants will be required to complete daily vehicle checks and ensure that vehicles, plant and equipment are always secure.  They will also be expected to complete daily paperwork in line with company policy and take all necessary precautions for the safety of people, vehicles and plant in line with health and safety legislation. In addition, the successful applicants may be asked to complete other tasks, not stated above, to support the needs of the business.

  • Previous experience and hold valid tickets to operate various plant would be an advantage

HGV Tipper Driver

Raymond Brown Quarry Products Ltd are seeking to appoint Tipper Drivers. Experience in driving Tippers is preferred however training will be given if required.

The successful candidates will be required to undertake daily driving duties whilst complying with all legal obligations and company procedures/instructions as detailed within Driver Inductions, Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments and adhere to all associated Health & Safety requirements.

Requirements:

  • To always be in a position to legally undertake their driving duties.
  • To ensure legal requirements for drivers’ hours and working time regulations are complied with.
  • To ensure their vehicle is roadworthy before and during use.
  • To maintain communication with the traffic office regarding progress of daily work.
  • To complete all relevant paperwork correctly.
  • To report any incidents and accidents immediately to the Transport Team.
  • To always ensure that work is carried out in a responsible and safe manner with no detriment to the company or its customers
