Site working hours will be: - 07.00-17.00 - Monday to Friday (to include 2 x 30 minutes unpaid breaks) - 07.00-13.00 – Saturdays - You may also have to work Bank Holidays if required. Key Responsibilities: - Safe operation of the Processing Plant - Ensure production KPI’s are achieved or exceeded - Carry out health and safety inspections - Report defects and manage small maintenance duties - Comply with all HSQE policies and procedures - Ensure housekeeping is of a high standard - Monitoring of material mini skips to ensure they are weighed, changed, and emptied to minimise disruption to operations Candidate Requirements: - Enthusiastic, willing to learn and develop new skills - Ability to work as part of a team - Punctual - Reliable - Own transport - Attention to detail - Preferred experience - Quarry, construction, waste recycling background would be advantageous - Telescopic Forklift and Tele Truck Licence - Training will be provided if this is required

We are seeking to appoint an experienced 360 Excavator Operator to support our 75,000tpa processing plant based in Ardley Oxfordshire. The facility is co-located with Viridor’s EfW and processes the incinerated bottom ash to produce recycled metals and a secondary aggregate for construction projects. The primary role of the operator is to prepare the IBA ready for processing and to pull up the fresh IBA into windrows for storage. The role will consist of safe, effective and efficient operation and includes carrying out daily safety checks of the 25t excavator on site. The successful applicant will be required to: - Operate a 25t 360 Excavator or similar - Meet operational KPI’s - Carry out health and safety inspections - Report defects and manage small maintenance duties - Follow defined procedures and safe systems of work - Support all operational activities on site as instructed by management Candidate requirements: - Experience of operating a 360 Excavator or a similar size - Ability to work as part of a team - Attention to detail - Punctual - Reliable - Driving licence & transport

We are seeking to appoint a Technical Operative to support our processing plants in Ardley, Oxfordshire and Calvert, Buckinghamshire. The facilities process Incinerated Bottom Ash (IBA) to produce recycled metals and a secondary aggregate for construction projects. The primary role of the Technical Operative is to collect daily samples of the processed IBA and using the onsite ball mill crusher, check the qualities of the metals and the aggregate. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be conscientious and well organised, with a good attention to detail. A technical background is advantageous but not imperative. Key Responsibilities: · Operate, monitor and maintain laboratory equipment · Prepare samples and complete tests in accordance with written procedures · Complete documentation/data entry of test results · Be responsible for managing your own workload and activities · Work to and maintain a high level of safety, cleanliness and order within the laboratory and adjacent areas · Be involved in analysis of results and the continuous improvement of the site Candidate Requirements: · Ability to work as part of a team · Reliable, punctual and self-motivated · Strong verbal communication skills · Ideally with a technical background you will be able to work accurately and methodically · Driving license & transport

An exciting opportunity for a 12 month fixed term contract has arisen within the Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental (HSQE) department for a part time (2/3 days per week) HSQE Advisor in our Quarries division. The position will monitor and advise on the company’s Health & Safety activities ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation, uphold the company's HSQE accreditations, whilst promoting and supporting continuous improvement and best practice across our sites in the South of England. The role will primarily be maintaining a strong health & safety culture within our company, managing 3 sites across the South of England: Key Responsibilities:  To ensure that the Company is proactive, up to date and complies with Health & Safety legislation, procedures and company policies.  To carry out internal audits of the H&S management system, and undertake site inspections.  Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses. Then subsequently, assist in effectively implementing recommendations and improvements to address root causes.  Promote a positive health & safety culture and provide competent and practicable assistance to personnel.  Provide reports (including monthly KPIs) and data on Health and Safety performance for the HSQE Manager.  Support maintenance of and improve the ISO 45001 certification. Key Skills and Attributes:  Experience in a similar role and ideally industry.  Previous experience of conducting internal audits.  Previous experience of accreditation (ISO) audits.  Hold a Health & Safety qualification - NEBOSH General or equivalent.  Good organisational skills and attention to detail.  Proficient on a variety of computer systems including Microsoft Office.  Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English.  Ability to work under pressure.  Self-motivated individual with strong problem solving skills.  Familiarisation with quality management systems would be an advantage.  Clean driving licence. Fortis IBA (South East) are looking to appoint a Multi Role Plant Operator to assist and support in the safe, efficient and effective operations at our new state of the art Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) Processing Facility based at Ridham (Kent). This role will be flexible, it will involve covering a range of different machinery and duties to ensure the smooth and effective running of the site. Duties may change on a day by day basis to ensure business requirements are met. Site working hours will be:
  • 07:00-17.00 - Monday to Friday (to include 1 hour unpaid lunch break)
  • 07:00-13.00 - Saturdays
You may also have to work Bank Holidays if required. Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that machines are in good, safe working order via visual and operational checks.
  • Safe and efficient stockpiling of materials on-site.
  • Have an ability to plan workload to minimise disruption to operations and help to achieve targets.
  • Maintaining standard operating procedures as required.
  • Use of two-way radios to ensure high levels of communication.
  • Comply with all HSQE policies and procedures.

  • Role 1 – Dumper
  • Role 2 – Shovel & Screener
